Mikayla & Stephen
When Mikayla & Stephen chose Northbrook Farm for their wedding day, they envisioned a celebration that blended family traditions, natural beauty, and meaningful moments with the people they love most. Their wedding featured a romantic woodland ceremony, cherished Greek wedding customs, elegant garden portraits, and a sunset celebration that showcased some of the most beautiful corners of the property.
On a warm, sunny day surrounded by family and friends, every part of the celebration reflected what mattered most: love, connection, and creating memories that would last a lifetime.
A Ceremony Beneath the Trees
One of the most beloved spaces at Northbrook Farm is our woodland ceremony site. Surrounded by mature trees and filtered sunlight, the setting creates an atmosphere that feels intimate, peaceful, and timeless. As guests gathered beneath a canopy of leaves and flowing white drapery suspended between towering trees, the couple exchanged vows in a ceremony that beautifully blended natural beauty with family tradition.
Because the groom is Greek, the ceremony incorporated several meaningful customs that reflected his heritage. During the exchange of rings, the Best Man, known as the Kumbaro, passed the rings over the couple's hands three times before they were exchanged. This symbolic ritual represents the blessing of the marriage and the lifelong commitment being made.
Another cherished tradition involved the Stefana, or wedding crowns. The Maid of Honor, known as the Kumbara, passed the crowns over the couple's heads three times before they were placed. The Stefana symbolize the joining of two lives into one and represent the couple becoming equal partners as they begin their married life together.
Set against the natural beauty of the woodland ceremony space, these traditions added a deeply personal layer to the celebration and created meaningful moments that connected generations of family and friends.

Exploring the Grounds and Gardens at Northbrook Farm
Earlier in the day, the couple shared a quiet moment together before the ceremony, allowing them to pause, reflect, and soak in the significance of the day ahead. Away from the excitement of the celebration, these intimate moments captured the anticipation, emotion, and joy that make a wedding day so memorable.
As the day unfolded, the newlyweds and wedding party explored the estate, taking advantage of the many beautiful photo locations throughout Northbrook Farm. From the historic manor house and landscaped gardens to charming pathways and the iconic Northbrook archway, every corner of the property provided a unique backdrop for portraits. Soft afternoon light and lush greenery created a timeless setting that showcased both the beauty of the venue and the connection between the couple.

Golden Hour Portraits and Evening Celebration
As the sun began to set, the couple slipped away to the meadow for a few golden-hour portraits. The warm evening light, open fields, and peaceful surroundings created a romantic backdrop that perfectly captured the beauty of the day.
As guests gathered beneath the reception tent, the celebration continued with dinner, speeches, and heartfelt moments shared among family and friends. Elegant florals, candlelight, and thoughtful details created a warm and welcoming atmosphere as the couple began the next chapter of their lives together.
