Property Spotlight – The Tent

Northbrook Farm Weddings & Events began hosting weddings in 2011. Initially, couples rented just the property and made their own arrangements for a pole tent. For the first few years, the tent was situated in the field, which is now used for parking.

In 2016, we embarked on a journey to enhance the wedding experience for our couples. Our goal was to acquire a special tent that would make a statement and be suitable not only for weddings but also for other events like anniversary parties, corporate gatherings, and celebrations of life.

After thorough research, we discovered the tent that you see today and fell in love with its elegance. This frame tent features a pole-free design, providing a spacious and versatile interior. We opted for window panels to allow couples and their guests to enjoy the beautiful views of our property during wedding receptions. The tent boasts a classic white top offering both a timeless look and a cool ambiance during dining and dancing.

To enhance the tent’s infrastructure, we had a professional company pour a cement floor, allowing us to securely attach the tent frame. The structure remains in place year-round, with the roof and panels removed in October and reinstalled when weather permits. We also decided to move the reception area to its current location, surrounded by lovely trees, to enhance privacy and add to the natural charm.

Our aim was to create an effortless experience for couples seeking an outdoor venue for their ceremony and reception. We built wood harvest tables and acquired wooden folding chairs, ensuring a rustic and cohesive look. Additionally, we crafted a matching bar and podium. Inside the tent, you’ll find three chandeliers, fans, drapery with fairy lights, and perimeter lighting, adding to the tent’s beauty. Setting up for your event is a breeze. Northbrook Farm staff will arrange the tables as requested and you can decorate according to your preferences.

Caterers appreciate the easy accessibility to the tent, allowing them to park their vehicles close to their working area. We also provide a dedicated catering tent, ensuring a smooth outdoor meal service. We strive to make things easier for your vendors so they can shine during your event.

For safety reasons, we allow candles in glass containers inside the tent. If preferred, you can explore imitation options for a worry-free ambiance. Smoking is strictly prohibited in or near the tent, but we offer designated smoking areas for your guests’ enjoyment.
